Erle-Brain is a Linux-based artificial robotic brain for making robots and drones with official support for the Robot Operating System (ROS) and access to the app store.

Erle-Brain is the first open hardware (PXF + BBB) and software (APM) Linux-based autopilot. Below we present the characteristics of the system:

  • MPU6000: 3 accelerometers, 3 gyroscopes and 1 temperature sensor
  • MPU9250: 3 accelerometers , 3 magnetometers, 3 gyroscopes and 1 temperature sensor
  • LSM9DS0: 3 accelerometers , 3 magnetometers, 3 gyroscopes and 1 temperature sensor
  • MS5611-01BA: 1 digital pressure sensor (barometer) and 1 temperature sensor
  • Power:a 5V Supply, power module connector (DF-13 6 pins), ESC signal cables
  • Indicators: 3 normal LEDs (Green, Amber and Blue), RGB LED
  • Connectors: 2x UARTs, 1x ADC connector, 1x CAN, 3x I2C, 1x Buzzer out, 1x Safety switch, 12x PWM output channels, 1 PPM/S.Bus in, 1x Power brick and 1x Battery backup (1 LiPo cell)

Note that not all the functionality might be available simultaneously. Some functions might shadow others. Also take in consideration that we are continuously improving the board thereby support for some options might be added in the future.
